Mr. Buzzelli is Senior Vice President and Head of Data Governance for Acadian, a quantitative institutional asset management firm specializing in active global, emerging and frontier investments utilizing sophisticated analytical models and specialized research expertise. He has primary responsibility for data governance policies, standards, data quality measurement, and alignment of data taxonomy, dictionary and meta-data management. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in prior roles including: Executive Director, Head of Enterprise Data Management, Americas responsible for Nomura’s client reference and product data as well as market data commercial vendor management supporting the U.S. and global broker dealer operations. Vice President, Americas Head for Thomson Reuters Enterprise Pricing and Reference Data business and strategic roles as Business Architect and Cross-Segment Product Manager for Mellon’s Global Asset Services division. He began his financial career at Federated Investors and is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Decision Systems and holds two Master degrees; Management of Information Systems and an MBA in Finance from the Katz Business School at the University of Pittsburgh.
Alex Golbin, CFA, Managing Director, is the Global Head of BlackRock Data Services (BDS). This group provides centralized data support for the Firm, serving the dual mission of supporting BlackRock and BlackRock Solutions (BRS) clients through overseeing Reference Data and Pricing, Portfolio and Benchmark data and analytics, as well as Risk, Analytics and Performance Reporting. BDS teams also manage Client Data, Invoicing and Reporting for Retail and Institutional businesses. BlackRock Data Services ensure comprehensive Quality Assurance and timely delivery of all information relevant to clients and investment professionals, while running a scalable operational process on over $17T of BlackRock and BRS assets. Mr. Golbin is a member of Global Operating Committee.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2005, Mr. Golbin was a Principal in Banc of America Securities' Fixed Income Credit Strategy group. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers Fixed Income Research department. Mr. Golbin joined Lehman Brothers in 1994, and became responsible for producing Global Family of Fixed Income Indices. Previously, Mr. Golbin spent three years as a systems analyst with Siemens Corporation.
Mr. Golbin earned a MS degree in computer science from Hofstra University in 1996.
JC Lionti is the Americas Chief Data Officer for BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking division. He is responsible for defining and implementing an effective and efficient enterprise data management function that curates and develops BNP Paribas data assets, while satisfying both local and global requirements.
JC was previously BNP Paribas Deputy CFO for North America and has over twenty five years of experience serving financial services firms across Paris and New York.
A native of France, JC has been living in Westchester, NY for almost 20 years.
Gary Barr is Managing Director, Digital. He is the Chief Data Officer, and is a member of the BNY Mellon Senior Leadership Team. Digital sets the strategic direction for the firm’s digital future and invests in digital client and internal capabilities, including data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics.
Gary joined BNY Mellon in January 2018. Between 2009 and 2013, Gary ran the Research Data organization at the world’s biggest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, with responsibility for overall data strategy, business / process architecture, data technology, and vendor relationships across the span of data assets needed to enable Bridgewater to identify alpha in the markets. Before that, Gary held a variety of high profile executive roles within the Thomson Reuters organization (2002-2009) including as CEO of the Loans Pricing Corporation, Head of the Pricing & Reference Data business unit globally, and as Head of TRGR Markets based in Zurich.
Gary has over 25 years of experience in the Capital Markets industry, having also held various executive Operational positions with HSBC (2016-2017), SG Warburg (1987-1994), Goldman Sachs (1994-1995), and Credit Suisse First Boston (1995-2001). He also co-founded a niche Investment Banking Data management consultancy practice in London in early 2001, and was the COO for two start-up Data Analytic companies in NY between 2013 and 2016.
From a military family, Gary attended the Royal Hospital School naval school / academy in the United Kingdom where in addition to his military education, he studied Industrial Economics, Applied & Pure Mathematics, and Computing Analysis. He is a British & American Citizen who currently resides in Connecticut and New York City.
René Kim is senior vice president at Charles Schwab and leads the Global Data Office and is the Charles Schwab & Co liaison to Schwab Charitable Donor Advised Fund.
René joined Schwab in April 1999, and in her tenure has led teams responsible for driving profitable innovation at Schwab Bank and Charles Schwab & Co across the deposits, lending, payments, retirement product and planning, client reporting and infrastructure areas. She has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services business. She began her career in consumer banking where she worked in almost all aspects of retail banking and marketing from branch work, to incentive programs, to new product development. She then spent five years managing product development and marketing for small business banking products.
She displays her passion for advancement of women in the workforce through her recent service as a two term president and board chair of the Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC), and her current service as a director and executive committee member for Jewish Vocational Services of San Francisco.
Her educational background includes bachelor degrees in English and Italian and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Davis. She is a long distance runner and in 2017 completed her goal of running a marathon in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Martin Hosseini is the Head of Data Office for City National Bank (a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)). In his role at the City National Bank, Martin is responsible for building out the data governance, data quality and data management capabilities to effectively address data-related demands; prepare the bank to comply with various regulations; and contribute to bank’s objectives as well as strategic business priorities. Additionally, he is responsible for harmonizing the second line of defense across the Risk Management functions.
Prior to joining City National Bank, Martin spent 20+years helping financial services and manufacturing companies including the Capital Group, Bank of America, and GE. Martin holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University.
Mark Braley is vice president, global head of Information Management, Reporting & Delivery, and head of North America Business Intelligence and Analytics for Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He is also responsible for Global Information Management Strategy and is currently leading a multi-year transformation of their information capabilities. As a senior leader, Mark sets the strategy and vision for the new Information Strategy capability and is responsible for global oversight of information management and information reporting and delivery across N.A., EMEA and APAC that includes client, regulatory, business intelligence and analytics. In his role, Mark is a member and Chair of the Information Strategy Council.
Srini Bangarbale is the Chief Data Officer for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). In this role, he is responsible for Data Strategy, Architecture, Standards and Analytics at the Commission. He has set up the Data Management organization and has led its evolution from a startup organization to a change agent ushering in a data-centric culture at the Commission. Srini co-chairs the CFTC’s Data Steering Committee and has served as the official data representative of the CFTC in many international and federal forums, including the Regulatory Oversight Committee for the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI ROC), international work on regulatory swaps data standards development, the data committee of the Financial Stability Oversight Committee (FSOC) among other organizations. Under his leadership, the CFTC data management organization has rolled out an enterprise-wide data strategy, has incorporated the development of data standards into the Commission’s rulemaking, rolled out the first Commission-wide catalog of mission data, and has stood up an analytics group which is putting together a data analytics platform for the Agency. Srini has taken an active interest in the evolution of FinTech and has made several presentations to regulatory and data groups related to the impact of FinTech on financial regulation. Prior to coming to the CFTC, Srini was the director for Application Development at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and was the SEC’s Chief Enterprise Architect.
Srini has an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, India.
Stan O’Marra is CDO, Investments at MassMutual. Since joining MassMutual in 2013, Stan’s focus has been on the creation of a Data Management practice and Governance framework focused on the firm’s General Investment Account (GIA). This transformational effort included implementation of an integrated accounting, data management and BI ecosystem delivering consistent, governed data across the enterprise. Prior to joining MassMutual, Stan worked with a variety of financial institutions delivering and optimizing a wide range of financial solutions. Among these was Artio Global Investors, where he created the firm’s Data Management and Governance practice as the firm’s inaugural CDO.
Peter Serenita is the US Chief Data Officer for Scotiabank, responsible for defining and implementing a data management capability to improve data quality and leverage data for business enablement. He is the Chairman of the Enterprise Data Management Council, a trade organization advancing data management in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining the Scotiabank, Peter was the Group Chief Data Officer and was responsible for building the data management and analytics practices across all businesses and global functions at HSBC, focusing on improving data consistency across the firm. Previously, Peter was a 28-year veteran of JPMorgan having held several key positions in business and information technology including the role of Chief Data Officer of the Worldwide Securities division.
Mr. Serenita holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from New York University.
Since joining SG in 2009, he has held a range of positions. Currently, he is the Chief Data Officer, SG Americas, with responsibility for data management and governance within the Region. This function is responsible for implementing the requirements of BCBS 239, establishing sound data governance framework that meets Group needs and local supervisory expectations and creating a solid platform for the data to be leveraged for strategic business decisions. Prior to that, he headed up the Project Management Office for the SG US Transformation project. Roles before that included Head of Finance Offshoring in SG Bangalore and Deputy CFO of the Americas Region of their Corporate & Investment Bank.
Prior to joining SG, Bala was with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) for fourteen years in a range of positions in Toronto and New York. As Senior Vice President of the Wholesale North America Finance, he headed up the controllership function for CIBC’s World Markets and Treasury & Risk Management Strategic Business Units within North America. With a global team across Toronto and New York, he was responsible for establishing a SOX-compliant industry-leading Finance control environment as well as supporting the efficient execution of business initiatives and managing the Finance related US regulatory relationships during a very demanding period. Prior to that, he also had stints as the business-line controller for the Bank's US origination businesses (Corporate Lending, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Structured Finance and High Yield), as well as the 2/ic to the Chief Accountant, with responsibility for consolidated financial, management and regulatory reporting at the corporate level.
Born and brought up in Mumbai India, Bala has an degree in mathematics from the University of Mumbai and holds professional accounting qualifications from both India and the United States. He lives in Montclair, New Jersey, is married with two children and enjoys long-distance running.
Risë has over 25 years of experience in financial services. She has worked in a various roles from HR to Back office Operations to IT Application Support and even has spend some time working with external customers. Throughout her career she has constantly found innovative ways to resolve issues. Currently she is responsible for envisioning and enacting the Data Governance Program for the combined US Operations at SMBC.
Vijay Akella is the Chief Data Officer at U.S. Bank. His responsibilities include driving the data governance, data quality and data strategy for the bank. He has over 25 years data management and technology experience, primarily in large global financial services organizations. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, he worked for Bank of America and Capgemini. Vijay has an MBA from Duke University and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science.
Julia Bardmesser has recently joined Voya as Senior Vice President, Head of Data, Architecture and Analytics. In her role Julia is leading the transformation of Voya's enterprise data, architecture and analytics operating model to enable contemporary practices and robust discipline.
Prior to joining Voya Julia was a Global Head of Data Integration at Deutsche Bank, where she led the implementation of global metadata management platform that enabled data lineage and robust front to back data quality measurement.
Julia has over twenty years of experience in data management, data governance, data architecture and cross-platform solution delivery in the financial industry. She also worked at Citi, FINRA, Freddie Mac, Thomson Financial Services, Bear Stearns and Bloomberg L.P.
Julia has a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the New York University.
Brandon Thomas is serving as the Chief Data Officer and Director of Information Management for Zions Bancorporation. In this newly created role, he is charged with developing an enterprise data strategy, data governance framework, uniting business intelligence, and continuing to build the enterprise information management strategy.
Prior to this role, Thomas was Director of Financial Operations and Systems for Zions. As Director, he played a lead role in the successful implementation of Phase I of the Financial Accounting Big 5 project. Thomas started at Zions Bancorp in 2005 and has served in senior positions within Corporate Finance and was a key contributor to the development of stress testing within the Corporation.
Thomas began his career with Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock) and Investors Bank & Trust from 2000-2003 in Walnut Creek, California. Brandon graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah and has an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University where he was recognized as 1 of 10 Hawes Scholars, the highest distinction given to BYU M.B.A. students.
Jason Sabino is VP, Senior Manager in Architecture & Strategy where he serves as Principal Architect for Information & Analytics for Capital Group. He has over 25 years of broad IT experience spanning from infrastructure & integration to business solutions, but the majority of his career has been focused on Data including data warehousing, data modeling, data governance, and analytics. His current responsibilities at Capital Group including advancing data management and analytical capabilities (data quality, Big Data, machine learning, cloud) and supporting the development of data analytic products and solutions. Prior to joining Capital Group, Jason was Director of Data Architecture at USAA in San Antonio, TX where he lead architecture efforts to introduce Big Data and advanced analytics as well as held accountability for Customer data architecture, data warehousing and ETL. Jason currently resides in Orange County, CA.
Jessica Chen is a Senior Vice President in Citigroup’s Independent Compliance Risk Management Group responsible for BCBS 239 compliance assessment with 20 years of experience in Financial services. Prior to joining Compliance group, Jessica was an audit manager at Citi Internal Audit, leading audits and risk assessments in Citi’s enterprise data governance and quality management. Before joining Citi, Jessica had held management positions in data and technology audit function in financial and pharmaceutical industry; she also had led a technology group at Merrill Lynch providing IT support for the firm’s Global Custody business through developing and maintaining IT applications across a diverse domain of system architectures and technology platforms. Jessica earned a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, and she lives in New Jersey with her husband George and two children: Annie and Charles.
Ari Marcus is a Managing Director in Citigroup’s Information Services Group responsible for Entity Data Strategy and Operations and Institutional Client and Account Technology with 20 years of experience in Finance. He runs Citi’s Regulatory Reform reference data program and led the implementation of Citi’s LEI infrastructure. Ari also serves as the Chairman of the CUSIP Board of Trustees. Prior to joining Citigroup, Ari held senior reference data and program management positions at Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Before entering industry, Ari led BearingPoint’s US Capital Markets Reference Data practice and served as the consultancy’s representative to the EDM Council’s Board of Directors. Ari earned an MBA in Finance & Accounting from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BA in International Relations from Colgate University. He lives on Long Island with his wife Kim and three children: Madeline, Charlie and Andrew.
Mark Fontana is a Senior Vice President in the Technology department at Comerica Bank, where he is responsible for enterprise data and analytics. In this role, Mark leads strategy and execution in data governance, data centralization, enterprise reporting, as well as revenue generating analytics. Prior to his current role, Mark worked in the Enterprise Risk department of Comerica Bank, where he was responsible for successful data collection and submission of loan regulatory reporting data.
Prior to joining Comerica, Mark ran a number of consulting practices focused on financial services, and worked for a number of years with Ford Motor Credit. He earned a BS in Computer Science from the Michigan State University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Mark is an active participant in raising the literacy rate in the communities that Comerica serves, and is a member of the Board of Directors at Innovations for Learning, a non-profit focused on helping in this cause.
Einat Burshtine is the head of the data and analytics organization for infrastructure within Credit Suisse, where she is responsible for strategy and implementation of all data-related products for infrastructure. Einat also leads big data initiatives, logging management, CMDB, data governance, and visualization tools. Previously, she headed the infrastructure architecture team in the US, developing the firm’s strategy for infrastructure, including end user experience monitoring, systems management, and big data analytics. Einat has 18 years of experience across broad functional areas within the IT industry. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, she worked at Oracle in New York managing the business operations of the development organization in global IT and led strategic initiatives in defining, monitoring, and improving operations and processes—leading to improved efficiencies and cost reduction. Einat holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Tel Aviv University.
Andrew Foster is the Deputy Chief Data Officer – Americas for Deutsche Bank. He is responsible for execution of the Deutsche Bank Data Strategy in the Americas, taking Chief Data Office technologies, process and training and embedding within the broader organization. He prides himself on bringing policies to life and ensuring business adoption through innovative implementation strategies.
Andrew was previously the Chief Data Office Head of Program Execution in the Americas, responsible for data sourcing delivery. Andrew originates from South Africa and has spent his career working across London and New York in a variety of data focused change roles.
Edgar is the Chief Data Architect for the Americas for Deutsche Bank, but more recently has also taken on a global role bring the banks metadata together as part of the global Chief Data Office. He started his career as a physicist working on missile tracking systems for the aerospace industry, but moved into the finance industry about 20 years ago building data management systems for the New York Stock Exchange. In the past 10 years, Edgar has focused on industry reference data and finance data architecture. This has included leading data sourcing delivery for CCAR, options symbology rollout, implementing clearing collateral systems, and even early contributions to the FIBO model development. Along the way, he also worked on algorithm development for a hedge fund start up, and traded equity options for a living. Edgar has a BE and ME degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union, as well as an MBA from NYU Stern, where he was the top finance graduate in his class.
Desmond Gallacher is a vice president of Eaton Vance Management and division head of investment technology. He is responsible for strategic direction, implementation and support of investment systems and data. He joined Eaton Vance in 2014.
Des began his career in the investment management industry in 1999. Before joining Eaton Vance, he was vice president of product management at Charles River Development, where he led product strategy, road map planning, and design and development of for the leading enterprise trading platform (OMS/EMS). Previously, he was global product head - data management and analytics with DST Global Solutions.
Des earned a BSc from Glasgow Caledonian University.
John supports the Council as Senior Advisor and Consultant, responsible for the Council’s CDO Forum and Data Management Practices. John is a senior strategy and data management executive with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Over his career, John has held various positions in supporting a firm’s data management functions. Since 2006, John has held the title of Chief Data Office in both the private and public sectors, serving as CDO for Citi and Bank of America, and holding the post of CDO for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Shanthi Pudota is Head of Data Management, Strategy and Architecture for Discover Financial Services. Shanthi is responsible for defining the Data Strategy, Enterprise Metadata Management, End to end Data Quality, Data Modeling, Analytics, Third Party Data Management, Enterprise Data Lake, Defining Data Policy, Data Governance and Stewardship. She has over 24 years of experience in the data domain and has successfully developed and implemented data strategies that meet business needs. She is focused on enabling self service capabilities and developing holistic data solutions that enhance customer experience. She is also actively involved in various innovation efforts to streamline data processing and management.
Joseph Tracy is an Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor to the President. He is the Chair of the Regulatory Oversight Committee for the Global Legal Entity Identifier System (GLEIS). His primary research interests include unions and collective bargaining as well as housing and urban economics. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Mr. Tracy was an associate professor at Yale University and Columbia University. He holds a B.A. from University of Missouri and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
Girish Satpute leads Data Engineering function for Fidelity Investments Management Technology group, a unit of Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions, and financial intermediaries. Mr. Satpute has been in his current position since 2008 and is responsible for managing data for Equity, Fixed Income, High Yield, Counter Party and Research products.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Satpute was a founding member of a global IT Services start up that went public in 2004. Before the startup, Mr. Satpute led multiple consulting engagements involving large scale business process re-engineering as well as re-platforming efforts.
Mr. Satpute began his technology career in 1989 with Tata consultancy service in India. Mr. Satpute holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, MS in Electronics Engineering and a Diploma in Marketing Management.
Veda Bawo serves as senior vice president and managing director of Enterprise Data Quality and the Enterprise Data Office’s program management. In her role, Veda oversees Fifth Third’s data quality program, as well as the Enterprise Data Office’s portfolio, program and project management, bank-wide data training, data communications and data team engagement. Veda was promoted to senior vice president in 2017.
Before joining Fifth Third Bank in 2016, Veda was the head of North America Wholesale’s Financial Reporting Quality at Rabobank (NY) where she was responsible for developing a quality assurance program over critical data, managing the data quality committee and ensuring the proper controls mitigated data quality risks. She served as a Data quality manager at GE Capital Americas (CT), starting their first data quality program.
Prior to that, Veda spent 15 years at JPMorgan Chase (NY, NJ, DE) in various leadership roles in Corporate Financial Reporting, Finance Reference Data, Corporate & Investment Bank Regulatory Reporting & Operations, ranging from Global Accounting & Operations to Project & Data Management. During her tenure with JPMorgan Chase, Veda: led post-merger process and data integrations in Finance; managed the global intercompany reconciliation for a $700+ billion line of business; managed the bank’s legal document management process, introducing significant automation. Veda started her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers (NY), specializing in the financial service industry.
James has 20 years of experience building platforms for actuaries, data scientists, and other demanding users who need their data engineers to not just know generic data technologies and data processing techniques, but far more important, to know the specifics, nuances, quirks, and outright flaws in the company's proprietary data. James creates and actively promotes techniques for growing such proprietary data knowledge in his institution, including measuring it as a core aspect of data governance.
Robi Krempus is Assistant Vice President, and Head of Analytics at John Hancock Investments (JHI). In his role, Robi is instrumental in making JHI a data driven organization by applying data science, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive distribution efficiency. He and his team built up an analytics data warehouse, predictive model architecture as well as ML algorithm portfolio in-house, and apply it across sales, marketing and product.
Before joining JHI in 2013, Robi gained extensive management consulting experience by implementing Asset Liability Management solutions across commercial banks, as well as conducting Malcom Baldridge Award Performance assessments in the technology industry. He started his career as a control system engineer modeling thermo-dynamical behavior at a nuclear power plant.
Robi is passionate about applying complex systems thinking into the financial services space. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland as well as a M.S. in Finance from Bentley University.
ROBIN DOYLE has worked at J.P. Morgan Chase for over 20 years and is currently Managing Director, Office of Regulatory Affairs, where she is responsible for developing strategic responses to a broad array of regulatory initiatives, analyzing the impact of regulatory proposals, developing the firm's positions and preparing for the implementation of final rules. Ms. Doyle also spent over seven years as the Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Risk reporting to the firm’s Chief Risk Officer and has worked in JPMC’s Chase Home Finance business unit and managed the Firm’s Accounting Policies Group. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Chase, Robin worked for Midlantic National Bank, KPMG Peat Marwick, and Prudential Insurance Company.
Ms. Doyle is on the Board of Directors of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation and has been on the Board of NJ Junior Achievement and Easter Seal of New Jersey. She is a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the New York Clearing House, and the Risk Management Association.
Ms. Doyle has an MBA in Finance from The Graduate School of Management, Rutgers University; a BS in Accounting from Rutgers, The State University; and is certified as a CPA in the State of NJ.
Sanjay Saxena is head of Enterprise Data Governance at Northern Trust - responsible for establishing the data governance and data quality program across the enterprise. In his prior roles he has led major transformation programs in Data Governance, Data Management and Technology in banking and insurance. Sanjay has held positions in several Fortune 500 Financial Services firms. He has consulted at financial services firms and has led several large transformations programs. He has expertise in setting up and implementing large data programs and is a thought leader in harnessing the power of data for competitive advantage.
Ronke Ekwensi is Vice President, Data Management for Prudential Financial’s U.S. Customer Office. She and her team are responsible for building robust data management structures in new and existing platforms, coordinating with organizations across Prudential to ensure adherence to best practices in data management and automation, and leveraging technology to drive flexible, cost-efficient solutions for Prudential’s evolving data infrastructure.
With more than 25 years’ experience in data and information governance, Ronke is skilled in data strategy and privacy, as well as electronic discovery. She excels at building data management organizations and managing complex projects and initiatives. Before joining Prudential, Ronke served in various senior data and information governance capacities with several industry-leading firms, including Aetna, Baxalta and Pfizer. Her professional experience includes positions in the healthcare, biopharmaceuticals, power, technology, consumer electronics and management consulting industries.

A member of the Board of Advisors of the Cardozo Law School Data Law Initiative at Yeshiva University, Ronke is also Executive Director of HealthCore, Nig LTD, and organization dedicated to addressing health issues in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa through preventative health education and patient awareness.
Tony currently serves as the Director of Data Governance and Design for Prudential Retirement. He has 20 years of varied leadership experience within Prudential Financial. He has an extensive operational and client-facing background that has led to a specialization in data governance, data management tools and practices as well as business intelligence. In his current role, Tony has primary responsibility for the implementation and execution of data governance practices within the Retirement organization. Nicole Brooks is Head of Data Governance and Policy for Royal Bank of Canada’s IHC and its combined US operations. Prior to joining in 2017, she was Head of Group Data Quality at HSBC where she was instrumental in building what the Monitor deemed as an Industry Leading Data Quality framework. She has vast regulatory transformation experience where she worked on the core team to craft the Resolution Plan at Barclays in 2013 and held various senior regulatory, risk, data, and control positions at Citigroup. Nicole entered the financial services industry 20 years ago working in automotive finance at GMAC. She holds a Bachelor’s in Pre-law/Political Science from James Madison residential college at Michigan State University and a Master’s in International Applied Economics from Eastern Michigan.
Mark Blanchette leads the data management and development groups at Seacoast Bank focusing on strategy and execution in information delivery, data integration, data governance, data quality and application development. Mark’s career in Information Technology has spanned more than 25 years.
Mr. Blanchette has been at presenter at several National conferences including the Gartner Master Data Management Summit, Informatica World, The Data Governance Winter Conference (2013 and 2018) , DenodoFest, and Enterprise Data World in 2017. In 2016 he was the recipient of the prestigious Ventana Research Technology Leadership Award in Business Intelligence and in 2017 he led the effort leading to the Orlando Business Journal Innovations in Technology award. He received his BA in Economics from University of Washington and a MBA from Seattle University
Sumanda leads data management technology initiatives in Société Générale Americas. He owns end-to-end technology integration for implementation of effective data management control environment. Prior to this role, he had built out data quality function in JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management and implemented data management audit function within Citigroup globally. He was a data architect and had helped built out data architecture delivery practice in HSBC and set up global delivery centers. He started his career in technology consulting and worked with financial and entertainment industry to address inefficiencies in marketing, financial, operations and analytics functions.
Deb Lorenzen has been Chief Operating Officer of various portfolios for industry leaders State Street Global Advisors and BNY Mellon. She is currently leading the Strategy & Data Governance team at State Street Global Advisors, as well as leading a number of infrastructure development programs. She has a proven track record for leading internal and external change programs including client, technology and human capital impacts, through periods of growth as well as consolidation. An acknowledged culture carrier and integrator, Deb is deeply experienced in complex cross-border negotiations.

David Saul is senior vice president and chief scientist at State Street Corporation, reporting to the chief information officer. In this role, he is responsible for proposing and assessing new advanced technologies for the organization as well as evaluating technologies already in use at State Street and their likely evolution in order to reinforce the organization’s leadership position in financial services.
Mr. Saul previously was chief information security officer, where he oversaw State Street’s corporate information security program, controls and technology. Prior to that, he managed State Street’s Office of Architecture, where he was responsible for the overall enterprise technology, data and security architecture of the corporation. Mr. Saul joined State Street in 1992 after 15 years with IBM’s Cambridge Scientific Center, where he managed innovations in operating systems virtualization, multiprocessing, networking and personal computers. Mr. Saul serves as a trustee of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. In 2007 he was honored with a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader Award. American Banker named Mr. Saul as one of its Top Innovators of 2013 for his work on data semantics and standards.

Clay has been with the Aegon family of companies for 19 years. He recently moved to Transamerica where he is the Senior Director, Data Governance Office. Prior to moving to the liability side of the company, Clay spent 12 years leading data management and data governance programs within Aegon Asset Management.
Clay has been a leader in data quality/management since 2006. Prior to working with data, Clay worked in IT where he obtained many software and hardware certifications. He earned a BS in Information Technology and a MBA.
Alex Smith is a Director in the Reference Data Technology team at UBS leading a DLT innovation project and regulatory programs.
Previously based in the UBS London office, he moved to work for UBS in New York last year to support the Reference Data team in the US. His most recent innovation efforts within UBS have seen him publish a whitepaper on legal entity data matching.

GE CommerceGuard was a global technology company that developed software, firmware and hardware for wireless shipping containers and global seaports, with a focus on physical and data security issues. During his tenure at GE CommerceGuard, Randy established a joint venture with Siemens, Samsung, and Mitsubishi, providing CommerceGuard with global technology and service capabilities. Prior to GE, Randy was a management consultant at Price Waterhouse, focused primarily on global software and technology projects.
Randy graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He is an active member of the Oregon Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
Scott J. Preiss is Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, CUSIP Global Services (CGS)/S&P Capital IQ, which administers the CUSIP numbering system and the CUSIP International Numbering System (CINS) for the United States, Canada, and various global territories under contract to the American Bankers Association. Under Scott’s direction, CGS is responsible for the development and operation of the ANNA Service Bureau, launched as a central hub for the consolidation and distribution of ISIN data from >120 global markets, and jointly operated with Six Financial Information, Zurich. CGS/S&P Capital IQ also provides a variety of cross-referencing, obligor and entity-identification solutions to market participants for risk management and compliance needs.
Previously, during Scott’s tenure as director of CUSIP Operations, a major revitalization and upgrade of CUSIP’s infrastructure was implemented that facilitates the numerous securities issuance procedures in a real-time environment. He has been actively involved in the industry’s effort to standardize legal entities, securities descriptive data and product classifications, and has chaired the ANSI-accredited standards group X9D in that regard. Scott regularly lectures on standardization, reference data and risk management, both in the U.S. and globally.
Scott is a member of the Enterprise Data Management Council (EDM), the Executive Committee of the SIIA/FISD, SIFMA, Various ISO Working Groups (including ISO TC68 SG1 that examined LEI), and is the Chairman of the ASB Advisory Board. He is a member of the New York, and New Jersey Bar Associations and has a B.B.A. in Business/Finance from Pace University, New York and a J.D. from New York Law School.
Ravi Shankar is the Chief Marketing Officer at Denodo Technologies. He is responsible for Denodo’s global marketing efforts, including product marketing, demand generation, communications, and partner marketing. Ravi brings to his role more than 25 years of proven marketing leadership from enterprise software leaders such as Oracle and Informatica.
Ravi holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
Ken Lownie is the Chief Operating Officer of Everteam Inc. In that role he is responsible for Everteam’s business in North America, and and works directly with senior executives responsible for Information governance within their organizations. Ken is a graduate of Colgate University and MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and is a frequent writer and speaker at industry conferences, including InfoGovCon, AIIM and ARMA as well as FIMA.
Traci is a leader in the “Lighthouse”, KPMG’s Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics. Traci is responsible for the Lighthouse Artificial Intelligence Team and for KPMG Ignite (KPMG’s AI platform and portfolio of capabilities). She is an experienced executive with significant experience in Systems Implementation, Advanced Analytics Execution, Big Data Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and D&A Strategy. She is a proven leader with a long record of success in designing, developing and deploying solutions to address clients’ most complex problems. Traci also leads the global KPMG Google Innovation Lab focused on experimentation, testing and innovating with pre-launch and new Google products.
Bob is currently a senior leader in KPMG’s own Digital Transformation and is serving as KPMG’s Chief Data Officer in the US while also leading the Financial Services Data Governance and Transformation Practice Area. Within Financial Services, Bob primarily serves Chief Data Officers helping them build data driven cultures while generating sustainable momentum. He as a long record of designing and implementing change to organizations, processes, data management /governance tools required to transform client CDO organizations and their impact on the businesses they support.
Bryce is a Director in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice specializing in data solutions and services for financial services companies. He has led multiple enterprise wide data lineage initiatives for top tier financial institutions. His lineage initiatives have covered CCAR, Fed/regulatory reporting, internal risk metrics (BCBS 239) and products. Additionally, he supports Chief Data Officers with the adoption of their enterprise data governance Policy and frameworks through business adoption planning and implementation. Areas of further support include data quality, metrics, reporting and process efficiencies. Bryce also has experience with enterprise client data effort to standardize client data sourcing and consumption. Prior to joining KPMG, he worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a Bank Examiner.
Jan Ulrych is a data consultant with more than 10 years of experience
working on data management and data governance projects. He's a database
engineer by education, but he quickly evolved into a recognized integration
architect, with clients such as DHL, Thomson Reuters, and Moody's under his
belt. He currently works for MANTA, the data lineage automation company. At
MANTA, he's responsible for business development, particularly in the customer
success area — making sure that proof-of-concepts and deployments all over the
world are running smoothly. This unique perspective allows him to understand
each customer's complex story — their business needs on one side and technical
background on the other.

Yann Bloch is an expert in the financial services software industry, based in Boston with over a decade of professional experience in this field. Yann is currently the Vice President of Product Management of NeoXam Americas, specifically working with NeoXam’s DataHub and IBOR. DataHub is NeoXam’s comprehensive and customizable data management tool and Yann is responsible for product management and pre-sales. Yann has been with NeoXam since 2016. Prior to joining NeoXam, he was the Senior pre-sales engineer for the French company SmartCo from 2013 to 2015. Yann also worked for eight years at SunGard Asset Arena, holding a few positions focusing on the management of product implementation.
Dominic Sartorio is currently Senior Vice President of Product and Development for Protegrity. He comes to Protegrity from Informatica, where he spent several years in product leadership roles including leading the Intelligent Data Platform product management group, as well as leading the Data Quality product group. A thought leader in data governance, Sartorio also spearheaded data governance product strategy, and improved the security stance of Informatica products including achieving ISO27K compliance and driving security best practices in R&D. Prior to Informatica, Sartorio held development and product management roles at Oracle, BEA Systems and Wily Technology.

John McManus heads up Sales, Marketing and Account Management for SIX in the US and has been with the company since 2004. In his role he is working closely with our customers to support and anticipate their data and regulatory requirements. He is also responsible for identifying and responding to US market trends. Prior to joining the US team in 2015, John oversaw the Sales and Marketing for SIX in the U.K. and Ireland.
At SIX, John is firmly focused on helping firms meet their core reference data, corporate actions and key regulatory data needs, especially Global Sanctions Monitoring, IRS871m, MIFID II and PRIIPs. John is a regular speaker at industry events in Europe and the U.S.
Prior to joining SIX, John spent 10 years consulting in the financial services sector across the US & Europe. Johns holds a Master’s Degree from University College Dublin.

Peter joined the company in August 2016 following 25 years at Thomson Reuters. During his time at Thomson Reuters he established the Thomson Reuters Enterprise business, lead the integration of the Thomson Financial and Reuters businesses, ran data and technology operations as CTO and most recently lead the Financial Division, a global $6bn revenue business.
Peter graduated from Bristol University with honours in Mathematics and Computer Science.
