Alex Smith

Director, Reference Data Innovation Projects UBS

Alex Smith is a Director in the Reference Data Technology team at UBS leading a DLT innovation project and regulatory programs.

Previously based in the UBS London office, he moved to work for UBS in New York last year to support the Reference Data team in the US. His most recent innovation efforts within UBS have seen him publish a whitepaper on legal entity data matching.

Prior to joining UBS he spent 7 years working at Societe Generale (Newedge) where he held a number of technology roles, including application development lead for Prime Brokerage and Data Management.

He is a graduate of the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
