As Managing Partner at NEOS, Ernst Renner is responsible for the vision and direction of NEOS, with a focus on business and IT transformation and modernization in the insurance and financial services industries.

Since founding NEOS in 2000, Ernst has grown the company to include core practices in business strategy and operations, data science and engineering, and technology modernization. He has advised executives at over 50 clients globally, including twelve Fortune 500 companies, on finding the right blend of strategy, technology, and process to drive desired business outcomes.

Ernst’s business passions are data-driven process optimization, learning systems, and cognitive computing–and their application to make insurance operations better.  He actively consults with client executives on industry insights, strategic planning, and action-focused delivery planning.  Ernst’s experience spans over twenty years of executive leadership in international business and technology. Prior to founding NEOS, he led the information architecture and technology efforts for the individual and group annuities, mutual funds, and life insurance divisions of The Hartford.
