René Kim

SVP, Data, Analytics & Insight, Digital Services Charles Schwab

René Kim is senior vice president at Charles Schwab and leads the Global Data Office and is the Charles Schwab & Co liaison to Schwab Charitable Donor Advised Fund.  

René joined Schwab in April 1999, and in her tenure has led teams responsible for driving profitable innovation at Schwab Bank and Charles Schwab & Co across the deposits, lending, payments, retirement product and planning, client reporting and infrastructure areas.  She has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services business.  She began her career in consumer banking where she worked in almost all aspects of retail banking and marketing from branch work, to incentive programs, to new product development.  She then spent five years managing product development and marketing for small business banking products.  

She displays her passion for advancement of women in the workforce through her recent service as a two term president and board chair of the Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC), and her current service as a director and executive committee member for Jewish Vocational Services of San Francisco.  

Her educational background includes bachelor degrees in English and Italian and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Davis. She is a long distance runner and in 2017 completed her goal of running a marathon in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
