Brandon Thomas

Chief Data Officer Zions Bancorporation

Brandon Thomas is serving as the Chief Data Officer and Director of Information Management for Zions Bancorporation.  In this newly created role, he is charged with developing an enterprise data strategy, data governance framework, uniting business intelligence, and continuing to build the enterprise information management strategy.  

Prior to this role, Thomas was Director of Financial Operations and Systems for Zions. As Director, he played a lead role in the successful implementation of Phase I of the Financial Accounting Big 5 project.  Thomas started at Zions Bancorp in 2005 and has served in senior positions within Corporate Finance and was a key contributor to the development of stress testing within the Corporation.  

Thomas began his career with Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock) and Investors Bank & Trust from 2000-2003 in Walnut Creek, California.   Brandon graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah and has an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University where he was recognized as 1 of 10 Hawes Scholars, the highest distinction given to BYU M.B.A. students.
