Many enterprises have a long way to go before they reach a level of data maturity that allows them to take full advantage of new tools and capabilities like AI. One big reason that many companies aren’t where they need to be is because they are trying to sprint ahead when they really should be ensuring their data management fundamentals are in order. Data quality issues, improper master data management, weak data security (to name a few) are part of the data management fundamentals that will hold up any innovative initiative and will undoubtedly create problems for you down the road if not adequately addressed.
