Michael Koegler has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to founding Market Alpha Advisors, a market structure and FinTech advisory firm, Michael was a Principal at ViableMkts and the Head of Marketing and Strategy at Javelin Capital Markets, a CFTC-regulated Swap Execution Facility. He is a subject matter expert with extensive experience in a wide range of asset classes, including liquid rates, OTC derivatives, futures, foreign exchange, municipal securities, corporate bonds, and structured credit.

During his career, Michael has held senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase, Bear Stearns, UBS, and Jefferies. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a Commodity Trading Advisor and holds series 24, 7, 63 and 3 licenses with FINRA and the NFA.

Market Alpha is an EDM Council Partner, certified in its DCAM® and CDMC® frameworks. Michael is also Co-Chair of EDMC's Data Management for Asset Managers Special Interest Group ("DMAM SIG"), currently comprised of 17 member firms with a combined AUM of over $30 Trillion. The focus of the DMAM SIG is to address industry-wide challenges that the asset management industry faces with regards to data governance, management, and infrastructure. Specific initiatives within the DMAM SIG include lowering overall data costs, increasing efficiencies for securities reference & price data, enhancing data governance for AI, and standardizing terminology for tokenized and digital assets.
