Tom Barkes

Global Head of Reference Data Operations Goldman Sachs

Tom is global head of Reference Data Operations and regional head of Enterprise Operations in Salt Lake City. He co-chairs the Firmwide Pricing Consistency Governance Group and is a member of the Operations Market Solutions Council and the Private Wealth Management Valuations Oversight Group.

Previously, Tom was global head of Reference Data Operations. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 in London as a vice president and was named managing director in 2015.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom qualified as an associate chartered accountant at KBSP Partners LLP and worked in product control and operations at Credit Suisse.

Tom serves on the Board of Trustees of CUSIP Global Services and on the board of Kostopulos Dream Foundation, a nonprofit in Salt Lake City.

Tom earned a BA in Economics, with honors, from the University of Nottingham in 1999.
