Roque “Rocky” Martinez is the Chief Technology Officer of the Reference Data Utility. Rocky brings over 28 years of experience in financial technology and is currently responsible for all product technology, innovation, and product delivery. Rocky has held senior leadership positions at various software companies that have serviced fortune 500 companies such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Allstate, Motorola, and consulting companies such as Accenture and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Rocky focuses on leading digital change through technology and creating opportunities for new products and services that did not exist before. Rocky hones his skills as an Associate in Columbia's University Technology Management Program of the School of Professional Studies, working with future leaders and entrepreneurs. Rocky is currently developing new services to provide digital disruption for financial services firms, which need to reduce the effort and time necessary from trade to settlement. Currently, Rocky is working on innovation focused on the ability to use machine learning to predict when trade reference data is valid. Additionally, Rocky is an author of published articles and the subject of interviews. Rocky has an undergraduate degree from Fordham University, a Masters in Technology Management from Columbia University, and pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
