Geoff Martin

Director, Client & Regulatory Data Management RBC Capital Markets

In his current role as Director of Client & Regulatory Data in the Data Management Office of RBC Capital Markets, Geoff leads the teams that are responsible for managing the entity reference data and the regulatory data for RBC CM’s counterparties and other involved parties.  Geoff’s teams play an important role in a variety of functional areas, by supplying data for KYC/AML, operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance. These teams also support the advancement of the RBC CM data strategy, particularly through the centralization of reference data and the standardization of data management capabilities.

Prior to working with client and regulatory data, Geoff led a number of data governance initiatives to advance data stewardship, metadata management, and data quality capabilities within RBC Capital Markets.  In addition, Geoff has facilitated various cross-functional groups investigating risk and regulatory data issues.

Geoff brings over ten years of data management experience in the financial sector, spanning both data technology and business-facing roles.
