Eric Hirschhorn

Eric Hirschhorn is the Chief Data Officer for BNY Mellon and is a member of Global Operations & Technology’s Executive Council. In this role, he is focused on digital transformation, operational efficiency, artificial intelligence/machine learning, regulation and helping the firm evolve to become data driven by design. Eric leads Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and oversees the delivery of the firm’s master data strategy. This is achieved through implementing enterprise data policies and governance, driving holistic access to data via our Lake, and enabling the business to  deliver advanced outcomes for ourselves and our customers using AI/ML techniques. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in November 2020, Eric was the Chief Information Officer for BGC Partners. He possesses a plethora of fintech expertise having served in numerous senior roles on Wall Street, such as Global Head of Rates and FICC eTrading Technology at Bank of America, Chief Technology Officer for Fixed Income at Morgan Stanley and a Managing Director at Citi in electronic trading. Eric earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, New York.
