Head of Semantic Technology Crédit Suisse

James “Chip” Masters is the head of Semantic Technology at Credit Suisse where he is responsible for the strategy and implementation of semantic data models and semantically normalized data within the Group CIO office. One primary driver of this work is to achieve compliance with BCBS 239 by building semantic models of critical regulatory business concepts and workflows, and map them through to the authoritative data sources used to generate compliance reports.

James has eight years’ experience working on compliance related technologies in financial services, and 18 years’ experience working on semantic data modeling and data analytics problems across numerous business areas, including aerospace engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, and intelligence analysis.
