Chief Technology Officer, Global Financial Services Hitachi Vantara

Dan is responsible for aligning technology vision and execution with business strategy with Hitachi Vantara’s banking customers. He is focused on helping these financial institutions bridge toward digital transformation to compete successfully. He is responsible for core technology and operational use-case development to drive common application and infrastructure innovation. Dan works with Hitachi companies enabling partnerships and strategic technology innovation groups. He works with industry analysts and is a contributor to multiple financial services industry focus groups and symposiums such as Open Cloud Forum and FS-ISAC. He provides strategic leadership for solutions development, partnerships and operational support. Within the Americas, Dan leads technology direction and enables field readiness for Hitachi Vantara financial services offerings, including analytics and big data solutions and governance and regulatory compliance solutions. Dan is part of the leadership team that drives Hitachi Vantara America’s ability to attract, retain and develop outstanding technology talent.

Dan brings more than 20 years’ experience in metrics-driven infrastructure risk management, big data analysis, guidance systems and infrastructure governance. His career has included management roles at Computer Associates and several financial services startup organizations. He was in leadership roles with solutions delivery responsibilities with Fidelity, HSBC and Citibank and acquired his engineering education at Boston University.
